yea i believe someone did a test a bit back and they got pretty good mileage even with top down the whole ride.

37 is prob. an error. that's like....hybrid status. but this is what i love about this car too. you will probably never see anything over 30 on a Z. the fact that you can get 30 mpg all highway doing 75 seems really good to me.

Best tank: (AP1) OEM hardtop on, cruise set on 74mph, mostly flat ground. Entire tank just over 30mpg. 337 miles and 11 gallons I think it was.

Earlier this summer I drove an entire tank in mixed driving, but shifting at 4K in first, then 3.5K all the way to 6th. Got 29mpg on an entire tank, but it was so painful I will never do it again

I typically get 23-24 driving it how I like.

I don't think 37 is possible. The best I've ever gotten was 31 with a bit of stop and go but mainly cruising at 75 on the highway. I think 33-34 is possible on flat with cruise control pegged to ~75, but 37 is stretching it especially when 13% of the driving was stop and go.

Me here, decent accel , hitting vtec maybe 2-3 times a day (summer) not to much anymore because its colder out. 4.77s , I average 26 mpg, 70% highway driving. With the high rpms with the gears, i bet if you wanted the S for a gas car (not sure why) but if you put a crazy low rear end in it like a 3.10 or something I bet you would see over 45mpg

No way. If I had 3.10s instead of 4.10s, I would be a bit over 3,000 rpm crusing at 75mpg instead of ~4,000 rpm now. If I could get 45mpg at 3,000 rpm with 3.10s, then I would be able to get a mpg in the same ballpark at 3,000 rpm withg 4.10s.. I'd just be moving more slowly.

It isn't. His calculations are clearly off. No amount of short shifting or slow driving will get an F20C to 37MPG.

I guess it would be possible if you did a lot of coasting down hills.
