Red face Debadging "S2000" emblems

I want to debadge the S2000 emblems on my car, but I'm worried that the fender might be stained by all the dirt that has been sitting there for 5+ years. Is there a possibility that my fender will be stained if I take off the badges? What should I use to take them off and clean up all the excess glue/dirt?

Thanks!
Jet

goo gone will take off just about anything. if for some reason that doesnt work get some rubbing compound that should take off the residual glue and any dirt that might be there and the hit the area with a little wax and you should be good to go

Heat up with emblems with a hair dryer.. Then use Fish line to cut through the adhesive (sp?). You can purchase some bug/tar remover from your auto parts store that is safe for paint. Use that to clean up the remainging adhesive (sp?).

If there are any stains in the paint then just use a mcguyers 3 step process or something like that with a cleaner/polish/wax combo system to remove the stain.

I don't think it's "stain" that you need to concern yourself with. The rest of your car has been subjected to 5 years of environmental exposure, while the paint under the badges has only been exposed to adhesive. You may find that the outline of the badge may linger for a long time.
