Get a certified used. You'll have a great car, a better warranty, and if you put 2 grand down you should be able to come close to your target payment. AND you will actually OWN the car. Just a thought.

Hopefully I can shed a little light on the situation. Leases on manufacturer's sites are typically run at sticker price. 349/mo with 4309 down doesn't include tax, title, reg, and doc fee. I don't know what your sales tax is there, so I'll use 5% as a value. Your monthly tax would be 17.45 and if not added into the paymet (making it 366.45) you would be adding 628.20 to the upfront costs. I don't know the state fees or dealership fees there so I'll say 50 title prep, 36 reg, and 299 doc. this comes to an additional 1013.2 and a total of 5322.20. Essentially what they're telling you is they won't discount the car 3322.20. In order to get to you price they'd have to go below invoice but not too deep into holdback. that's something that some dealers will do, and others won't but they will be more inclined to do so if you have offers from other dealers especially if they're at invoice.
also they may be willing to do it and are just trying to take a shot at you. sounds like all they said is that they can't do that price and nothing about what they can do.

I picked up my new 07 for that rate. Granted i'm here in Ohio, but if you're interested in buying a car from a dealership here and sending it back, that may be a good solution. If you need more help, PM me and i'll put you in touch with them.
