I quit dealer oil changes after I found the threads stretched on the plugs in three of our vehicles. Dealer oil change & filter was $20.

5 quarts of Redline and a filter is $50. And no stretched threads.

The S2000 is such an easy oil change. What are you people thinking?

If you don't have the stock intake, you can do the whole thing without even jacking up the car!
I do it there so i have a record of my work until car warranty is over i heard story of ppl getting f over cause they don have records of work done and dealer will not keep there warranty on the car

I always had the same concern but decided I'd do my own scheduled maintanance anyway. If problems did arise during the warranty period and there were questions, I would argue the point that there is no such wording in the service manual that the car MUST be serviced by Honda. I bought my oil and filters and kept my reciepts and made notations of mileage and dates oil brand etc. in the service phamplet that came with the car. There iis a risk of a dealer argument doing it this way but the advantages are knowing exactly what was done and saving a rather large chunk of dough. I felt that in the end if I did have problems, I would win any argument that a dealer might have with me doing it this way.
