The S2000 is such an easy oil change. What are you people thinking?

If you don't have the stock intake, you can do the whole thing without even jacking up the car!

Why do you goto the dealer, who pays their mech 60-70/hour and complain about the costs?

Really, this is like going to a rolex store and looking for timex pricing.

An oil change is of the most basic services you can do on your vehicle.

Oh don't worry, from here on out I will be doing my own routine maintance. After checking the DIY section it all seems to be very easy. I guess I got spoiled with my Acura dealer whose service on a new car is second to none and not that expensive for the amount of stuff they check on the car and only needed to be done twice a year.

oh and by the way, that was only for the oil and oil filter! the state got $30 bucks for the inspection. they told me that the next service (oil, oil, air and cabin filters, tranny fluid and diff fluid) would be $400.00! no thanks! i can buy all the parts and do it myself in the garage and save $300.00.

lesson learned.

You can just purchase one of my Oil Drain Valves for $30 for the EASIEST oil changes ever on the S2000. Even my GF can change my oil. Video of proof here:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=186&t=709347

No need to jack up the car.
1. Just unscrew oil filter,
2. Position drain pan,
3. Open the Oil Change Valve,
4. Replace filter,
5. Close Valve,
6. Fill with oil.
