Daily Drivers--->Does the top rattle in time?
Hey guys,
This question is for the folks that drive their S2000 daily and a considerable milage.
Haven't gotten my S yet but I was wondering, being that it's a convertable, do you get a lot of rattles/squeeks as time passes? Daily driving can beat the hell out of a car, my 1 1/2 year old single cab Ram rattles like a MF'er partially because CarToys did a crappy job putting my door back together after a speaker install, and partially because Houston streets can be some serious pot-holey nightmares
My buddy used to have an 99 mustang convertable and he had more squeeks and rattles than I could count.
How does the Honda fair in time?
Thanks!

Does the top rattle in time? Well, just depends on what I'm listening to. Ba dum bah!
Seriously, I've only had it as a daily driver for 11 months and so far, knock on wood, it doesn't rattle. It'll squeak a bit when it's really cold out, but otherwise I've been pleased with it.

I have a daily driven '02 with 56k miles, and the convertible top's rear window emits a very, very slight rattle at highway speeds. It's not too bothersome since it's not really audible over the radio. This subtle rattle isn't a new development, though. It's been like that for as long as I can remember.
Overall, the car has developed a few more rattles with time and use. But none of them are very bothersome. They are things that I'll hear on occasion (i.e. when driving on bumpy roads or when the car vibrates at certain frequencies), but do not occur all the time. And none are very loud.

I actually do have a rattle that's coming from a spot right over my head. It looks like the vinyl wraps around the crossmembers and is held in a channel along their length (if that makes any sense) and the one right over me has come loose in the middle. I've been meaning to get over to the dealer, but I never seem to want to bother when I could be driving instead...

i have some rattle from my ratches in the top that connect to the windshield, but i tighten them every once in a while..takes about ten minutes....and it's worth it. the car is a god send. mine is a daily driver, and i deal w/ lack of room, uncomfortable ride, no clock, etc...and it's all worth it. most discomforts can be fixed, except the lack of room.
