Daily Driver in a suit ?
#21
I wear a suit & tie everyday to work, and for the 3 months that I daily drove the S I would do so in my shirt and tie with my suit coat lying in my passenger seat. I've also driven in with my full suit AND overcoat on, and it is do-able. I don't daily drive the S anymore though.

When I had mine I wore my monkey suit everyday, but always laid my blazer/jacket in the passenger seat with my overcoat. I have driven with my blazer/jacket and overcoat on before - it is a bit tight on steering, but not too bad other than that.
If you really want to do it right, you'll buy a Suzuka Blue S2000 and wear pink shirts and ties everyday......I don't know where you live, but if you're in San Francisco I think that'd be the fastest way to get a date no problem

Am driving with suit and tie daily to my work, but I change my clothes once I go for some mad driving in the night!
The funniest night was about a month ago when I had to go to a reception organised from American Bureau of Shipping (A.B.S) locally in Greece. Suit and tie were on and I had to go later on to a drag/race night and I saw my face in the event with my suit and tie! People are still laughing with me!

I wear a tie and jacket when I work too. I hang the jacket on a hanger on the passenger roll hoop. That way my jacket is not wrinkled when I get to my appointment. I can't stand driving with a long coat in any car.

I'm not sure about the need for a suit, but a tie is useful for one thing and one thing only; catching food particles and/or drips that fall from your mouth while you eat (or a possibly second appropriate usage is to wipe your hands while eating the Burger King slop burger that Paris Hilton wanted you to go out and buy as a Pavlovian response to her washing a car).
Bottom line is this. You shouldn't be eating anything while driving an S2, hence no need for a tie.

Lose the suite coat and/or overcoat. Get a nice leather jacket. A good quality leather jacket looks great with a sport shirt and tie (or better yet a turtleneck), and is practical for top down driving. I did it for a couple years before I retired.
