Daily driver?

I drove my s2k from Pasadena to Oakland last weekend. A very fun 5 hours both ways. Good music and lots of snacks helped, but I vouch for the s2k's viability as a long-distance driver.
Several things you have to watch out for in the s2k though.
1) Low front windshield often obstructs your line of sight to street lights. (ouch!)
2) If you have long hair, prepare to deal with a mess of tangles.
3) Really crappy visibility through the clear plastic thingy that is supposed to be a rear windshield. (Of course, you can take the top down but 5 hours of 90 mpg winds can drive a guy nuts and drowns out the music to boot)

I drive my s2k everyday to work. I put 100 miles a day on it. I am also 6'1'' 230lbs and I see no problem with comfort. It does suck in heavy heavy traffic though. The day of the WTC attack it took me 4.5 hours to get home and my legs were killing me.
All you people who are amazed that some dealers are selling at MSRP should come to brooklyn. I got my s2k brand new for a $1000 less than MSRP. The dealer said that insurance is so high here that they dont sell many so they are willing to sell for less than MSRP to get them off their lot.

I drive mine every day here in San Diego, and down to Palm Springs for the weekends. Love the heck out of it. There is some times when I wish that traffic would get out of my way and let me open it up more though

Daily driver to work and also use for occasional trips. 8000 miles since new on 12/17/00. 6 ft, 200 lbs and 67 years old. Top down about 8 months and hardtop rest of time. Who cares about the rear window? Never use it.

CBeyond,
I would say that the S2K with the top up is only slightly more noisy than my 91 Prelude. The S2K has a bit more engine and exhaust noise, but it is easy to carry on a conversation. It is by no means Lexus quiet, though.
To be honest, if I am on the highway for maybe an hour or more, I wear earplugs-flame away, but I am 32 and still have excellent hearing and choose to keep it. The wind buffeting is just too great, as I refuse to raise the windows. If I don't wear earplugs I find that my ears and head are kind of numb for a couple of hours. As I age, I prefer to evolve into dirty old man rather than a deaf old man.
