Cutting the Brake Ducts.
I want to get my brake ducts cut out(professionally done hopefully), but i'm not exactly sure whats directly behind it. Can anyone explain the makeup of those ducts? If i JUST cut out the bumper part does the air go up into the engine? anyone got pics?
thanks for all the help.

If you cut the holes out and the air goes into the engine, then they would'nt be cooling the brakes. There is nothing behind them other than space until you get to the inner wheel well which is plastic.
If you cut them out (you can use a sharp serated knife), I would recommed a set of air flow screens from Coastal Metals. http://www.hondas2000accessories.com/S2000airflow.htm
Should work well for you!

I cut mine out w/ a Dremel tool, and like Airgate recommend that you get the Coastal Metals airflow system. It's hard to get the edges perfectly smooth, esp. as tight as the ducts are to reach, and the grills hide the imperfections in the cutting.

There is nothing but a big empty space behind them. Take off your front bumper and you'll see. I cut mine with a dremel and they are prefect. I did a rough cut with a zip saw bit then smoothed out the edges with a 80 or 60 grit sanding thingy.
