Where does your Z redline?

The first thing people think is that the S2000's cruising rpms are so high compared to other cars. The s2000 has a higher redline than other cars. Most cars redline around 6-7k, so they're cruising is around 2800-3500rpm(highway speeds) while the S redlines at 8-9k. So the higher cruising rpms are normal.
My Z redlines at 7500 (07). So Im not sure wtf your point is seeing the ap2 maxes out at 8k.

Whoa, what's with the hostility? Calm down, it'll be alright.

What rpms does your Z spin at when you're cruising at 65? 70? 75? & 80?

The S is geared higher due to the limited amount of tq. If it had more tq than it would be able to "lug" itself around in a lower rpm at highway speeds. Otherwise it bogs the motor. That's why the motor is spins in a higher rpm. Higher redline is another factor...

Enjoy your Z!!!

Have a nice day.

not to mention 4 cyl cars generally rev higher than 6 cyl. although s2000 is higher than most other 4 cyl cars, the engine doesn't feel like it's "working hard" even at 3.5-4k rpms.

I went back and reread that from a couple of days ago and it was uncalled for. Sorry.
