Cruising at 75mph with 4.57's?
I was hoping that someone could tell me how much louder the car is when cruising at 75mph with 4.57's versus the stock 4.10's? I'm not talking about the gear wine that others have mentioned. I'm curious how much louder it will be do to the 400rpm increase in engine speed? Is it noticeable or bothersome? Thanks.

it isn't that significant. I have exhaust and gear whine, but I'm pretty used to it. You should get a ride from a member in your area if you are really ocncerned about it. good luck

This shouldn't be such a complex concept. First, you are relying upon a type written description of someone else's "opinion" of what they think is the increase in the level of sound for a mere difference of 400 rpm at highway cruising speeds. If I were to tell you that it's "about the same", "more" or "much more", what does this mean to you? How do I know you interpret these labels in the same way that I do?
Why don't you just perform this simple test for yourself:
1. Drive at 75 mph, take note of sound and quality of noise.
2. Now increase rpm another 400, take note of sound and quality of noise.
Since you only care how much more "engine" noise there is with an increase in 400 rpm, the additional road noise of the extra mph shouldn't be taken into account.

Likewise, a good way to test the 4.77s is just to get on the highway and drive around in 5th instead of 6th. That's basically what your car will sound like in 6th after the gears.
