WOW! this must have been AWESOME. The missus and i made a small road trip 1200km's from Sydney to Melbourne stopping at many places along the way. I drove the 15 hour drive myself and it was a blast. I'd love to do it again but i just don't want to build so much mileage on my s!

Nice, and great pics! I did San Francisco to Columbus, Ohio back in April along the I-80 in my S. On Monday, I'm moving to Sacramento from Columbus in the S. I'm going to head south and hit the I-40 through Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona to California and then up the 99 to Sacramento. Really looking forward to the drive.

How many miles per day? and how did your Dad like it?

We love driving the S but at 63 the wife and I wonder how much distance we could do in one day

 

We made 1200+ miles the first 2 days.

I was surprised that my dad did not have any issues with the ride or seat comfort. He has commented several times since the trip that the seats in the S are very comfortable. We did make stops on a regular basis for fuel (we all know how small the tank is) and bathroom breaks.
