Heh you didn't tape up the front end. I was surprised no one asked about the blue tape on my BB when I road tripped from Dallas to Tucson last week (Got back yesterday). I did get pulled over by a TX state trooper while going 10 mph under the speed limit (80 car 70 truck, I was cruising at 70) for no front plate and got a warning. Got 30.5 MPG on that tank.

sweet pictures man! That must have been a blast driving with you and your pops, definitely a memorable event. How many miles were on your S? Did you just do basic maintenance before the trip? Any tips?

I am at 92k now. I did not do anything special for the car before leaving. I did have the coolent changed - it had not been done since I have owned it. All other fluids where changed last summer so they were good.

Awesome trip!! I relocated from Colorado Springs to Cleveland, OH in May, 1500 miles, I had done the trip in my STi several times but the S.... yikes! I had vacuum packed bags of cloths behind the seats and a hard top on, it was brutal! But because of it, I also fit 3 pairs of shoes, the nikon bag and several other small items. Wish I would have documented it better like you had and had the chance to stop at the places you did. Awesome experience! Here's my contribution from it
