I just spent over 6 hours washing, waxing and detailing the car. I cleaned and conditioned the leather seats and also conditioned the rubber seals with shin-etsu grease. It took me 2 days to do all of this.

MarkS2K....I can spend the entire detaling my car, I find it's relaxing. What type of wax do you use? I have not heard of shin-etsu grease, does it help? Where do you apply/buy it?

The wax I use is One Grand Blitz. People at the Socal Megameet saw my car and thought it was Zaino. It was so shiny and smooth.

shin-etsu grease is used on the rubber seals of the car. It's just a silicone grease. You can buy it at any Honda dealer, but I got mine from handa: http://www.handa-accessories.com/ they have the best prices. If you look in the owners manual, it actually tells you where to apply the grease. Im usually put it on once every 6 months.

MarkS2k.... thank you for the info. I will check out the owners manual again. I have never heard of One Grand Blitz, where do you buy it?

I've waxed under the hood and engine bay as well as the trunk with the red turtle wax . Is that obsession for you?

The craziest thing I have done is to choose S2K over a family car (it was not a mistake believe me). My wife and I have two boys. I have a Forester and used to have a Celica convertible. I have always wanted and S2K but circumstances will not allow me. Finally one day, I went to the dealer and found a Silverstone sitting in the showroom. I test drove it and bought it the same day. I sold my Celica a few weeks later. Now, my wife drives the Forester and I ended up driving my mom's 1992 Dodge Caravan which she gave to me to haul the kids around. The moral of the story is that, most of the time, I am in a beater Caravan while my S sits in the garage collecting dust. No regrets. I take the S out whenever I can. A 2000 with only 5600 mi.

A minivan parked next to my S while I was in McD's one day and as the kids were loading up to go (I was watching from inside) the little boy started flipping, flapping, and bending my antenna! His mom wasn't watching him, so I pressed the PANIC button. He stopped.

TTT!

I'm reviving this thread so some of the newbies can have a look. This was one of the funniest threads I've ever seen.

Also, when I read through this, I start to feel a little more normal again!

Have a good read.
