I've done a few(?) dumb things just to get them out of the way when I've been too tired to do them (just slammed our Subaru hatchback door on my nose and had to get stiches) 
Usually I don't do the same ones again so there's a bit of learning going on there but not enough.
Hope the S cleans up good.
