Default Cracking windshields...

Hey all... I just realized after a 45min highway drive that there was a crack in my windshield... However it doesn't look like there was an initial hit or anything (I.E. a rock, debris, etc.) -- It was a cold night (probably 50 F) and I had the heat on full blast the whole way home. I was thinking that the hot/cold combination caused the crack.

Anyone had this happen to them? Anyone know the cost of replacing the windshield?

Thanks

Isn't this what insurance is for? Might just cost you the deductible...

In the winter here it is not uncommon to have temps 20 below zero, and we usually drive with the heaters on full blast...never heard of this combination causing a windshield to crack. Oh, I don't drive the S in those temps but I'm sure it's glass is similar to what is on other vehicles.
