[QUOTE=JDMPONY00,Dec 4 2007, 12:55 PM]... BTW this forum is starting to look more and more like the other "Honda" forums on the net (immature). I guess since earlier models are becoming more and more affordable to the masses were getting more low rent people on the site. I

Sorry Amer, but I'm just so sick of that crap, and hearing it from people I like is even worse than hearing it from someone who's just some old-timer I don't know at all.

Why is anyone surprised by this?
Now that made me laugh. Hadn't even thought about it that way, but really, who in their right mind was expecting a jump in sales at this point in time?

How was what I posted garbage? I stated facts which is supported by Best Motoring International when they tested the AP1 vs AP2. Don't assume I'm just talking out of my ass here, go search for it on youtube.

I respect the AP2 but I never felt the need to upgrade to it until the CR came out.
Hi Amer.

You have been here forever, I respect you too much to get into what I consider a stupid debate with you, but frankly, nobody but a few people give a sh1t about stupid AP1/AP2 arguemtns, because they are garbage and do nothing but clutter up or forums.

It is people like you, who I like, that keep me from just blocking all posts from people who for some reason can't let that stupid debate die. If you think I'm the only one who is sick of it, you haven't been paying attention. Just let it go my friend. Leave that kind of thing to the noobs that don't know any better.

LOL, or don't. You are entitled to start anything you like, but just know that a hell of a lot of us have had enough.

I rarely read/post on the S2000 Talk forum so I will take your word for it, I didn't realize what I said has been debated endless.

[QUOTE=JDMPONY00,Dec 4 2007, 11:55 AM] The CR was not made to boost S2000 sales but to further inspire and stir true enthusiasts. A drop in S2000 sales has nothing to do with the new CR edition, but current economic conditions. BTW this forum is starting to look more and more like the other "Honda" forums on the net (immature). For the NSX, the last calendar year of sales was in 2006 with 58 sold, but those were leftover 2005 models. 206 were sold in calendar year 2005.

Regarding S2000 sales, 232 vs. 259 last year is NOT that big of a difference. That means that 27 fewer people bought S2000's in the entire country last month than the same month last year.

Except for the really high level luxury cars, sales of large vehicles and secondary vehicles like the S2000 (rarely the primary car) are way down during this period of high gas prices and economic uncertainty. The car market as a whole is off, with Honda and a few others still managing to show overall gains because people are betting on the tried and true values and fuel economy leaders (Accord, Civic, Fit and CR-V).

Thus, all is not doom and gloom. Selling a bunch of Accords and Civics is what continues to let Honda support the S2000. Honda has never made enough from the S2000 directly to justify the expense of keeping it.

If you think about it, there will always be endless rants and raves about the AP1 and AP2, it has happened with the 00-01 vs 02-03. Next thing will be the AP2 vs the AP2 CR.

Its up to the admins/mods to lock threads and hope for the best.
