CR hardtop

CR hardtop
Hello. I'm about to acquire a CR Hardtop. The hardtop comes from a salvaged 2008 GPW CR and the hardtop itself appears to be in good conditions. The hardtop is still attached to the car and I wonder what parts or accessories should I take with the hardtop to get it to fit into a 2005 MY. I was planning to take my car to the salvage lot to get it installed but after reviewing and researching for installations instructions and dimensions I realized that I have to bring a pick up truck since it will take too much time to get it installed and/or it wont fit through the rear opening of 2013 Grand Cherokee. Any suggestion and experience dealing with OEM hardtop installation and/or transportation will be appreciated. Thanks!!

You'll need the striker plates that go on the windshield frame, the rear latches the are on the car, the rear defroster wiring if you want it. I'm not sure what else but I thought I could get you in the right direction.

Your existing front / windshield strikers will work, I wouldn't sweat that.
Remove the rear panels beside your seats before you get to the salvage yard. Remove the rear catchers from the salvage car and install them in your car.
You could be out of there in less than 1 hour if you play your cards right and do your homework.
If I were you, I'd get everything I could off of that car that is CR specific, but that's just me.

Id be scrapping that CR all day long. At the least you can probably make some extra coin if the salvage yard doesn't know what they have..Grab the VIN also so we can add it to the CR roll call If its not already there. Cheers.

Please get the last four numbers of the VIN so I can document this CR's demise. Thank you.

Thanks for all replies and suggestions!!. The car was actually bought by other junkyard owner whom I've contacted and is the one who I'm dealing with... This guy knows exactly what he got in his hands since he told me that he went to the salvage lot auction to specifically snatch away this car... He himself and his late father own several S2000 and told me he wanted this hardtop for himself.
As for the salvaged CR the last VIN numbers are 0887. I look it up in the CR forum and it was not registered so there you have it. This car is located in Puerto Rico and it was only the second GPW CR that I've seen in the island so it would not be a surprise if it was the only (GPW CR) one here...
