just before you buy any know consider this, if you lower the distance from the knob to the other end of the stick, the shifting force needed is higher.

let's say you have a X gram knob right now, you replaced it with the exact weight knob but it's countersunk knob, the shifter will felt more "notchy/mechanical" and require more force to get into the gear.

most of the aftermarket contersunk knob are lighter than oem knob(arc, f1 spec, rick's aluminium), only a handful are countersunk and weighted(ricks titanium, twm)

for countersunk knob i am using

rick's aluminium(which is in the miata right now)
TWM's 480 gram knob

^^^What he said. The throw is shorter but more mechanical, but I like it much better.

Rick's baby! Spun aluminum...

I normally use ricks.. but if theres heavy traffic I will throw the stocker on really quick

Shifting feels 10x better with the ricks BUT it is *significantly* easier to get into 1st gear (for me) with the stocker (more leverage)
