If you find a shop in the area that will do this let me know. I 'd do this but would let a machine shop do it.

Its a 1.5 thread pitch. The easiest way to lower the shift knob is to buy a 10m thread die and just thread further down on the shifter. Once you thread it cut off the same amount you went down off the top. If you want to go lower, then you need to drill and tap the shift knob which can be a bit touchy since you dont want to mess up the original theads.

I thought about drilling deeper into my MY02 knob because I liked the feel of it. But I got a Voodoo knob for Christmas and let me tell you; once you go Voodoo you'll never go back!

Anyone have any experience with the Muz knobs? Black anodised countersunk knob

I think these would be like Voodoo's but bigger.
They are the same size: 50 mm in diameter.

I like the Voodoo knob as well. Much lighter (hollow) and lower. Only complaint is that that sucker gets HOT (or cold) depending on if the sun hits it directly.......and NO I'm not gonna buy a knob sock thingy.

my voodoo wegish the same, or maybe even more, than my stock knob.

it would be cool if it had the gear pattern etched onto it...but i wasnt going to pay 80$ for a tapped ball of alloy

The Muz countersunk knob is great provided you don't mind the feel of a round shifter! Hahaha I enjoy the aded weight and while it may just be my imagination the throws feel a lot better. One word of warning though...if you're a driver who likes to slam your shifts you will need to adjust a little in the way you throw into 3rd and 5th...honestly after a long drive your hand can start to hurt hahaha. All in all I'm VERY pleased with it and love the look! Just my 0.02
