Cost of Sideview Mirrors?
I got the convex mirrors on friday and put them on yesterday. I decided to remove the stock mirrors and affix the convex ones to the backplate inside the mirror housing. This eneded up being a bad option. After about 20min of driving one mirror fell off and I pulled the other one off so I didnt lose that one. I was able to recover the mirror that fell off, but I deterimed the they wont stick well to that backplate. So I guess I have two questions.
1) What do stock sideview mirrors cost? I may put the convex overtop, but not if those mirrors are extremely expensive.
2) To those of you w/ the convex mirrors, how did you install them?

It can, but the other option suggested was removing the stock mirrors which I did since I didnt wnat to ruin my stock mirrors. Turns out they really dont stick well to the piece behind the mirror. I just want to know what stock mirrors run before I ruin them.

The Muz convex mirror is OEM in Australia. They replace the existing mirror. You must use all the goo that's on the back of the mirror you take off. If you don't salvage all of it, the mirror will fall off. I've had mine on for many years. Never a problem.
If you are using those aftermarket tinted convex mirrors (Spoon?), they go over the stock mirror glass. They weren't meant to be mouned alone. They are too thin and they don't have the hooks that the stock mirror has to secure them to the backing plate.

Wish I had known about the Muz ones before I bought these. Oh well, maybe I can ebay them and buy the Muz one. I am not too thrilled by the idea of mounting on top of my stock mirrors...

Got mine from Gary at Import Tuning... following the directions (including removing the gooooo stuff and reusing) but when I went to reinstall the mirrow (and plastic back plate) I added a few dabs of superglue gel to the top of the mounting clip on the plastic back plate before inserting it into the mirrow housing. Its been sticking thus far without a problem....

I just did mine today and I have spoon. I did take off my old mirror and installed it on the plastic housing. I also added a few strips of double sided tape. I "hope" it doesn't fall off Did your actual mirror fall off or the mirror in the plastic housing fall off?

You can look here to find replacement parts:

Or go to your dealer with a printout from that link.

the muz (or non-us oem) convex replacement mirror MUST BE SNAPPED INTO PLACE!
I found out the hard way... I used to just use the white goop..then on a hot day, my mirror started falling off.
Just push hard and it'll snap into place.
