Ok, I like Corvettes. I now own an S2000. I had a Corvette. If I ever decide to brag on just one car, which one will it be? So, I searched the specs, got out my calculator, sharpened my pencil (unsharpened ballpoint actually) and compared the two.

The hottest Corvette: 385 hp and 385 ft pds. torque. Those are impressive figures. All from 5.7L.

The hottest S2000 (they

You can't really compare different engine sizes like that. I bet Honda would have a heck of a time trying to get 684 hg out of a 5.7 litre motor. Take morocycles for instance... The 600cc Yamaha Sportbike (YZFr6) makes ~110 hp at the crank... the 1000cc Yamaha (yzfR1) makes ~ 150 hp. Straight math says the R1 should make ~183 hp. So the loss is somewhere. It's more difficult to get a larger engine to spin as fast as a smaller engine. The R6's redline is 15,500 while the R1's is around 11.5. If the R1 could spin it's engine up to 15,500 then the power would probably be closer to the R6's hp/litre figure. Just think if the s2000 made as much power per litre as the R6... 366 NA hp out of 2litres. That would be impressive. But it's not going to happen anytime soon with out some really high redlines. And torque is more representive of displacement. So you aren't going to see many technologies raise torque in smaller engines.

2 Totally different cars in a different league..
Do u want a Drag racer or Road racer..??
Domestic Vs Import
v8 vs 4 cyllinder
depends on what u r expecting.. u r on a S2K board so most ppl would choose the S2K over the corvette...
