Correct Mirror Placement

Things like this are always subjective but the one thing I don't understand is why you need to see the side of your car in your wing mirrors during normal driving. I know exactly where the side of my car is I don't need to see it in the mirrors. What I need to view is as much of the other lanes as possible to make pulling out safer and that is why my mirrors are angled outwards. If I need a wider or closer view I will lean forwards and backwards. The problem with the mirrors on the S2000 is that they don't angle out enough for me and I'm no giant.

It's amazing how many times you can sit behind the car in front and see the driver in their wing mirror. In my view this is completely wrong and not very safe because they will have no clear view of the other lanes.

^ Me too. That was exactly the point. However, driving schools continue to teach this method to their students. I think folks should drop it like a bad habit.
