Cooling plates, bad or good, expert please

I removed the stock airguide and have no problems. I do live in a moderate climate though.

Thanks guys, I was getting at if removing the stock airguide and adding AUT would it cause any problems or any heating issue in the engine.

But judging by the comments, I'll do as SakiGT says.

I had this set up for a year and didn't cause a single problem. I just ripped the OEM wind deflector right out... still have it but I couldn't tell a difference when it was in compared to out and visa versa.

AUT should be good just do it...
but my Gutted Stock intake with K&N filter is better IMO, doesnt sound as good but prolly works better

I have AUT with K&N. I like it for 2 reasons.
a) It looks like it actually does some good, ie directs air exactly to the intake
b) It looks so well matched, that people think it came from the factory this way.

Nice.

My old setup was gutted snorkle to remove bottlekneck, spoon airbox mod, and feed to sidewall.
