Fifth Gear is a joke. Comparing a track car to a street car? Different tires? They then proceed to review them as if they were everyday cars.
I'll still watch it though and drool.

 

How much difference does the hard top make? One of the great things about the S is it's built from the wheels up as a true sports car, but it's a rag-top. The loss of the top costs in terms of body stiffness, but for me it's alot more fun to drive.

 

That's a totally equal comparison.

5th gear fails again, what can I say. An aftermarket tuned car (in terms of suspension AND engine) against a completely factory car. Might as well race an Enzo against a 360 and then say the Enzo is better. Well DUH!

Would have been a totally different story against the CR, which would have been a 'more' appropriate comparison.

By the way, 30k sterling is $45k, and was a lot more when that video was made. More like $55k.
