I discovered that I can get by without a convex mirror if I adjust it really far out. Yup like Hockey said, forget about overlapping views with the rear view mirror.

Just put the top down and you won't have those blind spots.

I would just keep the top down, but i live in the bay area. San Francisco weather is only good couple months out of the year. During winter season, it would rain everyday so im scared for that season to come.

On a better note, I purchased the car today and it is being detailed etc. I know i dont need it done, but i might as well let them take care of it one more day to make it look nice. There was all sorts of plastic things around the car to keep it in the best condition. The tan interior is pretty cool. It doesnt look as aggressive but it puts the car in a calm way and more mature type of thing. I will post pics asap. Thanks!

True tan interior doesn't look as sporty as charcoal but a big advantage is not to burning your backside. This really comes into play when you park the S2k and leave the top down on a hot sunny day. Believe me it can get very uncomfortable.

congrats on your purchase...

another thing to do about your blind spots...ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION...this is a big thing, even when there is lots of traffic, if you just make sure that YOU KNOW where everyone around you is, because you have been checking your mirrors very frequently...

I try to switch lanes as immediatly as possible with out cutting off the person I just passed, cause then you know that someone else isn't in that lane...but then you must also be watching then next lane over from that as well...

Again, like everyone else said...back up SLOWLY

I was recently reading about somebody who had just completed a 4wd training course. One tip they mentioned they picked up I thought was a really good idea for everybody:

Turn off the stereo and wind your window down whilst reversing.

Makes sense to me. Putting the entire top down is a good logical extension of this also.
