I do get around 27mpg on trips driving at 80 with two people and luggage...

Overall, it's pretty accurate. The clock which seemed so important to so many did come with the 2001 model. Personally time stands still when I'm in there. The notchiness & grinding of some of the transmissions, which has appeared since day 1, apparently showed up more often with those reporting on the 2001 model. It would appear there was some improvement in the suspension between '00 and '01. As far as I know, it didn't happen. The minor suspension changes came in the '02 model. The paint issue could be the bumper rubbing problem (alignment) or chipping (which really hasn't improved that I'm aware of). The power equipment issue is no doubt the power side windows, which continue to fail at too high a rate. But, overall for a sports car - which we all know gets tested by it's owners much more than your average grocery getter - its a great rating and deserved.

They are assessing the reliability of a 6 month old car ..... duh.
Personally, I don't believe the majority of what the publication says -- but I will say I managed to get 32MPG from Denver to St Louis this past winter.
