Consumables cost
I was just at my local $tealer for some stock brake pads and got a list of prices for wear items on the car:
Front pads: 94 EUR = US$120
Rear pads: 72 EUR = $90
Front discs (2): 340 EUR = $430
Rear discs (2): 196 EUR = $250
S2000-spec tyres I found online for:
Front S-02: 115 EUR = $145
Rear S-02: 140 EUR = $177
All prices include tax.
Just for comparison, I'd like to know what you US guys are paying for these parts. I wonder how much Honda Europe is ripping off their customers! I sense a massive US shipment in the future....

Did a quick search for you Robin. You might be able to find slightly cheaper prices but these should offer a good cornerstone for comparisons.
Front pads - $35.21
Rear pads - $43.73
Front rotors - $66.75
Rear rotors - $82.40
Front OEM tires - $148.00
Rear OEM tires - $160.00
There prices are in dollars and before tax or shipping.

Seems like tyres are fairly priced here but brakes... whoa! Worst are the front discs, nearly $300 difference for two!
Unfortunately handa accessories doesn't do international shipping, www.hondaautomotiveparts.com does.
I currently have US discs on my car so I'm sure there's no difference in the country models.
I'll definitely give Hardtopguy a try. Has he got a website?

Seems a lot of the US online parts stores will not ship overseas to regular street addresses. Not good. This must be Honda's way of screwing European customers with their rediculous prices.
Sure, we get more colour options here, but when it comes to maintenance, Honda parts are damn expensive.

Great idea, tritium_pie!
hardtopguy mentioned that shipping costs to Germany for a full set of front and rear discs would be $225! Thing is, I'd still save nearly $100 that way!
