I dont have any attitude!

Relax, man.

Not everything on the internet is said in deadly seriousness. Take it with a pinch of salt. Im the last person in the world to "have an attitude." The original post was made in jest. In my opinion, there was no need to label me "dumb."

Have a good day.

Your thinking of the ZR-1 that chevy had lotus help design.
The ZO-6 puts out 405 hp and probably get just as good of gas mileage as a S if not better I know the stock vette does. I was a little surprised about that.

Ah, so thats where the whole lotus thing came from. I was scratching my head for a second there.

Lol. Mercury Marine, NOT Lotus. GTFFS.

The finely dressed salesman took a look at me and judged me by my appearance and just gave me a flyer on the TT and was no real help and didn't offer me a test drive. Next, I went to a BMW dealer in jeans and a t-shirt and got the same from that neatly dressed salesman when I expressed interest in the Z-3.
I do this type of thing too although I dress comfortably so I am rarely dressed even semi-formally so I'm certainly not going to dress to look at a car.

BTW, just to be fair regarding test drives, I think it's reasonable for the dealer to ask you to fill out some paperwork before you drive simply because many of us wouldn't buy an S2000 with more than 15 miles on the odometer or that had been previously test driven, period. Obviously that puts the dealer between a rock and a hard place; it's a no-brainer to let the person who wants to buy the car test drive it, but if someone test drives it and doesn't buy it, they're then stuck with a car that may be devalued in the eyes of another potential purchaser. The requirement to fill out paperwork is a good way to weed out those who are serious from the Saturday lookie-loos who just want to VTEC an S2000 with 11 miles on the odometer. (Apply this to the car you want - "...who just want to hit redline in a new M3", "...who just want to hit 8500 RPM in a new RX-8", etc.)

The most socially responsible thing to do, of course, is to find a dealer with a used S2000 to drive; you don't rack up miles on a new one and you can also get a sense for what a few years' use will do to the car (will it loosen trim, will the steering loosen up, etc.)

Oddly enough I had no problem obtaining a test drive. They even brought a car to my house.

I had a bit of an issue test driving the one I ended up buying. Of course at the time I was 18 (19 now). I basically said "I wasn't even planning on buying a car, so you need to do what you can do [price wise, and test-drive wise] to convince me to buy this car"

It worked great! Seriously, because I purchased the car that day, hahaha.

I've also test drove a lot of higher-end cars without issue at my age (Z06, 911, M3, etc).

You just need to spell it out to them in terms they'll understand. No sales person in their right frame of mind will turn down a potential sale, if the customer can convince them that they're serious.

... along with a vegemite sandwich, a dingo and a kangaroo, right Muz?

Nice that they're so kind to customers down under. American dealerships could learn a thing or two!!!
