hey guys, i currently own a 97 prelude and have been wanting to sell my car to buy a used s2k. after looking around, i learned that there were various changes done to the s2k for the different years, such as the 04 front bumper and headlights. other than paint colors, what significant changes were done to the s2k from '00-'05? i'm tryin to spend as least as possible...

 

If you are trying to spend as least as possible the 04's and 05's should be of no concern.

 

MY02 and later you get glass rear window in the soft-top w/ defroster, 01 and earlier you get a plastic.

and MY02+ you also get tweeters in the door panels i believe, which you don't get in earlier models.

and of course, for MY04+, aside from the exterior changes like bumpers, head and taillights, bigger wheels, there's the increase in displacement [and resulting lower redline, if that's a concern] and suspension changes.
