Confused about when to first apply top protectant
I live in NJ: my suzuka likely will never see any snow, and very little rain. So when do I first apply the top protectant? I picked it up in mid-Dec '01.

'Needle'? Is that like a stylus? I've heard my dad talk about needles and wind up gramaphones!
I actually treated my top with fabric cleaner before the truth was known!

I must admit that I am perplexed by the faq:
"Your S2000's vinyl top is not waterproof. It is only water-resistant. What makes your top waterproof is a protective spray"
How do they figure? It looks like it's a solid vinyl sheet with an embossed pattern to me. I'd figure that by now, enough people would have neglected to "spray their tops" that we'd have reports of leaks (through the top, not the seals) all over the place. And how come the owner's manual makes no mention of spraying the top?
