Confused
I have only been a member of this site for a day but in that time I have read quite a few posts. What I am confused about is this, quite a few of you have talked about getting other cars (Inf, Nissan, etc) because resale is going down or because there is a new model coming out soon. I just dont understand why some of you bought your cars in th first place. I buy a car to own it to love it until death do us part. I dont buy a car for resale value or to sell a year down the road because something "better" is coming out...I just thought the appeal of the car was that it is timeless and so unique, just a little confused here.
This isnt meant to undermind anyones decision on the purchase of their car or bash anyone for wanting to get out of their car....to each his own

I agree with you whole heartedly ccb. My feeling is people get the S and are unhappy with it's performance because it isn't a big V8 and can't beat a lot of other cars out there. I say "Who cares". Just enjoy the car for what it is. One of the best roadsters out there Plus, for the money, one of the best values out there as well.

Well, cbb that's what makes you an individual...That you do things for your reasons. You see that alot of people post things as IMO....that's because they are individuals like you with their own opinions. I for one purchased the s2000 because I loved the car, one of the many, many contributing reasons was that it was rare. Then Honda pulls the BS about a 2002 model when it was supposed to be a 2 year run.....so people are understandably pissed. I don't plan on getting rid of my car, but I am really pissed at HONDA.

I don't now about Texas, but here I see a fair number of very low mileage (3000 to 6000 miles) used cars on the dealers lots. The only thing that I can conclude is that the owners weren't satisfied after driving the cars for a short time and got rid of them. I'm like you and will keep mine for awhile.
I also can't believe all of the people that ask everyone to help them make a decision for them. "Tell me what color to buy", etc. Maybe I'm a little wierd, but I know exactly what I want and when I go to the dealer's to buy a car, I guarantee no one at the dealer's knows as much as I do about the car I'm looking for. I buy my things for me and I could care less what anyone else thinks about my color choice, etc.
