Price is a bit steep at about $3500, but it comes with a free hardtop

Gotcha! Serves you all right for not voting for another forum for BS rumours!

Now, how many posts do you think it will take for this thread to turn into another "I heard there's going to be a glass rear window in 2002" rumour thread?

I've never seen the draw of the glass rear window really, it makes little difference to me. One one hand, it could contain a defroster...which would be nice, and it would be easier to keep clean/clear, but on the other hand it will add weight, and most certainly be smaller. I use NOVUS (what the Miata Club of America endorses...since they've been dealing with this problem for years) on my window every couple of weeks and it's crystal clear. What's the big deal?

If in fact a rear glass window does become available does that make our cars more desirable as lighter and more 'race' lol.

I've wondered the same myself. Suppose in 2003 they redesign the rear well and roof to accomodate a full glass window (and no, I'm not trying to be the first to start the "Glass rear window for '03?" rumour). I bet some enterprising stook owner comes out with a "Light weight race window" made of plastic. We'll all get a laugh out of that .

Not I, but I think that gregstevens addressed this re: questions about his visit to Tochigi:

The glass rear window was neither confirmed nor denied. Honda was very guarded about anything about upcoming releases.
So basically, its foolish for anyone to try and claim one way or the other. If visiting the source for the car only yielded this much information, thats the best we can know for now.

UtahS2K apparently has a friend on the inside, I wonder what Utah's last comments were on the glass window. Then again, I thought UtahS2K also told us that the last boat of S2000s EVER would be August 2001?
