Comptech strut bar hitting?
#11
You might want to consider SPOON as an alternative to Comptech. I have a strut bar manufactured by SPOON Sports. It fit without hitting the insulation, and the polished aluminum bar is very nicely finished, as are the mounting plates. I bought mine from Alan at http://www.aj-racing.com The price was $187 USD delivered. You might also want to check with Giampiero at MG Racing. Giampiero just put in an order from SPOON, and he may have ordered some extras. If you go through the SPOON site at http://www.spoonsports.co.jp you can find a picture of it.

Meat,
There is no need to ship back the whole bar if there is a hitting problem. But you may want to go ahead and check it first. It only takes about 15 minutes to install it. No reason to waste money on shipping if it's not needed. Otherwise, feel free to ship the brackets back for exchange.

I am having the same problem with mine.
I called CompTech immediately after installation and was told that the bar was higher to accomodate the new SuperCharger installation. Since your are acknowledging the problem, I guess that wasn't TRUE?
Confused,
