As several of you found out after recieving the Comptech bar from the group buy, after installation, the hood would not close properly. After a few conversations with Comptech, they requested I send mine back for measurement. They found that the brackets were not to spec on some bars.

They retooled and sent me back the bar this weekend. I put it on in 5 minutes and it fits like a glove. My only installation suggestion is to disregard the instructions and remove the allen screws from one side. Them it goes on so easy.

Special thanks to Jim at Comptech who was very proffessional and courteous in how they addressed the problem. Anyone else with a fit problem, check with the staff. You only need to send in the brackets for a swap.

 

Mikes sent me the new brackets and now it fits perfectly. Hood closes without any problems.

Tip: Do not overtighten the allen bolts.
