On my friends Jackson SC'd GSR they electronically tap in to the the Map Sensor.

Why is Comptech fussing with a mechanical solution when it seems to me that an electronic one would make more sense.

If the Map sensor is like any other sensor on the car it is going to vary the Current, Voltage or Resistance to signal to the ECU what the current pressure is. So why can't a electrical device be made so that when the Map sensor see's a positive pressure you mask it and lie to the ECU. That is essentally what Comptech is trying to do mechanically.

Anyone know why this wouldn't work?

I have not been impressed with Jackson Racing's "solution" to anything. My friend has a JR SC on his integra GSR. Nothing but problems both mechanical and electrical.
