Default Comptech Intake in a 07?

Has anyone installed a comptech intake in a 06/07? Looks like the only difference is this electrical wiring that goes into the OEM airbox tubing. Just picked one up from maxrev and i'm kind of scared that it might not fit ...

didn't they discuss in his fs thread that it doesn't fit 06-07 without modification?

Won't fit 06+. My friend had one and it had the same fittings on the "elbow" part and the sensor wouldn't fit the top bung unless you modify it. No air pump on 06+ so the bottom bung you can cap off. He didn't want to hassle so he sold it.

If its the point of where I can't modify it myself to fit, I'll put it up for sale. As of now, any takers?

That main tube is the problem. It's NOT gonna fit like I said bolt on wise. You can cut the top tube off and drill then add a grommet IIRC so the sensor will fit. Oh yeah cap off the bottom air pump hole too. I think everything else will fit. We didn't even bother once we found out the sensor wouldn't fit. We tried it on Grimnebulin's Berlina Black. Good luck bro.

Try contacting Comptech to see how much a new arm would cost...

I'm going to try putting it in with my friend tonight. So all I have to do is drill a bigger hole so that I can fit the sensor in (which AP1's don't have) right? I'm guessing the sensor is airflow regulator so the ECU can control my throttle? and then block off the airpump on the bottom ..

I'll try fitting it in and be one of the first couple MY07's to have a comptech intake

and can I pick up a grommet from a local auto shop like autozone/kragens?
