hey, im thinking i want to paint my yellow s2000. i dont want it yellow anymore but i dont know if its good to change the color. can you'll help me. can someone tell me if i should paint over it or how that would work and $$$ involved. also, i need some opinions on colors and things to do to my car. it was my dads but he gave it to me last week. i want to start fixing it up but i dont know where to start. i want more hp and torque. along with a body kit but i dont know what to do first. i make about 1500 a month right now cause im still in school. whats in my price range? id appreciate some help.
These are the words that came to my mind while reading your post. I know I'm not the only one.
You want more hp and torque, but I'll bet 100 grand you can't handle anything close to what the S2k has.
You make the responsible young crowd look bad. Shame on you.

I don't think the kid is out of place... I mean, I've never been too fond of yellow cars either. On the s2000, it has actually grown on me, but when you're young you know what you want and can be very self concious about things.
However, I do agree with everyone and think you should just be happy that you have an s2000. I would have done anything for any color s2000 when i was in high school, driving around my automatic tranny del sol with flowmaster muffler. Trust us when we say this, you're just lucky to have the car. Enjoy it, and the girls that you'll pick up

i like staying away from full paint jobs if at all possible. it's hard to do really well and expensive, as other members have posted. if you want more hp/torque, then you gotta supercharge it. if you don't want to, you're pretty much out of options.
sounds like you just need a different car..take the S and trade it in for something else.

I would just sell it and buy the color that you want. First off, its going to cost a pretty penny to get a NICE paintjob, and even a good bodyshop will never make the car look as good as a factory one IMO. If you do decide to paint the car though, then I would go with something custom or a color that is not available to us here.
