Blending is essential. I've seen many repainted bumpers without blending and the mismatch is apparent.

If the damage is as hard to see as you say, just keep the $1,300, and buy yourself some new goodies for the car, or just keep it in the kitty to help offset the normal depreciation your car is experiencing if/when you ever sell it.

Had a quick question I bought a used 02 and the bottom of the front bumper is scuffed up probably from speed bumps and side walk curbs was wondering if putting on a OEM FT chin spoiler would cover up the scuffed up marks on lower bumper area. Was not sure how much area it covered up. Also do I need to color match its Black ext. or is black less of a color match problem.

Had my 2001 Spa Yellow front bumper cover repainted and got about a 95% match. You could mostly see the difference in dusk sunlight (low light conditions). The shop (a local Honda dealer) felt they did the best job they could do. I was told many NSX owners take their car there. If the paint was blended it may have made the difference less noticable but I didn't want the factory paint messed with.

Thanks for all the input. I narrowed it down to replacing and repainting the bumper or just living with the damage. When the 04's come out this may help with the final decision. $1300 would be a nice down payment!

Either way I am not going to do anything until after the winter. You can't wax a freshly painted car for 3 months and this is my everyday driver.
