Cold weather rattles and whines
Did you ever notice your S make noises when itt's cold out that it never makes when it's warm out?
I here a high pitch whine and rattle but only when it's cold out. Weird.
Anyone?

Every car I ever had creaks and groans when it gets colder. Had an old Datsun pickup with a vinyl seat. Hopped in one very cold morning, the seat shattered like a piece of glass. Think they've improved vinyl since then. I do let the top warm up before putting it down though. Probably not necessary but I also have a Jeep and I know how stiff that top is when it's cold.

This is normal with pretty much any car when it starts to get cold. You'll drive yourself nuts trying to find every rattle. It's 20 degrees here right now and I heard them too.

Objects typically expand when they are warm and contract when they are cold. When warm, some objects won't rub with another object as easily compared to when it's cold.
