The cold season is here, and the rear plastic window is killing me!!!
For people how uses their S as a daily driver, enlighten me on how you suggest to solve this problem. Everytime I go visit my g/f's house, and leave my car outside in the parking lot for a couple of hours, the cold makes my windows fogged up. That's not the real problem as you can just wipe it off before you go in. The real problem comes when you get inside the car, your body heat makes the rear plastic window fog up even more!!! This time it's the inside where it's a B!tch to clean, and I can't see Sh!t in the back. Not only does this problem come up when it's parked and I'm leaving. It also happens when it's raining, some thing will happen, so my whole back view is blocked by this, this is extremely dangerious!!!
Somebody please enlighten me on this, I'm bought to buy a 1000 civic just for the season.

i don't have that problem - i guess my bodyheat is obviously not as high as yours
seriously though, i just put the climate control on full front defog with A/C light on (furthest right setting) when the back is fogged up (which is actually quite rare) - cleans up in a minute.
also, you may want to try "waxing" the inside of the rear window - mine has a permanent coat of "wax" and hardly fogs up.

For a situation like that, getting a hardtop is the best solution ... You have more immunity with the weather and it's a great looking option. Won't tell you to get an 02 S2K instead because I think that's simply not practical to upgrade an entire car for because there isn't any performance enhancements ... Rather more of visual cosmetics to make it look better? Hell other than the rear glass window and door tweeters, everything else doesn't look nice anyway.

Make sure the heat/cool system is not on recirculate.
If you are not taking in fresh air from the outside then yo are always recirculating the damp air that has come from you hot body.

Living in South Bend (temp today 38 at 7AM) what works for me is to
1) Turn AC on and switch temp control to medium while selection of flow is
defrost and,
2) Crack pass/side window about an inch.
Clears BOTH front and back (although shows streaks on back at first...unless you're REAL good at cleaning it).
I'm comitted to driving my S2 until the first snow of an inch or until they put salt down. Heated spaces here run $60 month here....what are other prices around?
Damn I miss the summer...hell, I miss the fall too
