If you're looking in that price range, you could also go with the Comptech. I've had it installed for a while now, and I love every aspect of it. It's a cold air intake, but there's NO possibility of sucking water into the engine unless the water level is over your hood (and you probably have larger problems at that point anyway ). It looks great in the engine bay, and is still relatively affordable. I think the sound is fantastic. When I first installed it, I thought I had an exhaust leak, but it wasn't air rushing out, it was air being sucked IN by the Comptech. Cool.

The rain supposedly leaks into the compartment where the filter is and drips into the intake pipe. Then when you go to start the car
o yeah didn't anyone tell you that with the AEM V2 you are supposed to plug the drain hole on the rain rain thing above the filet? Solves that problem

I don't have any pictures right now but maybe if I get some motivation later today I will go outside and take a picture for you

Here I will just use that picture...... The arrow points to the hole you need to plug if you go with the AEM V2 and you will have no problems with water dripping on your filter

Do you have to trim your hood for that setup?

DAMN! That Comptech looks GREAT... now i can't decide

Help me a little I guess:

Which is louder:
1. V2
2. Comptech

Which costs less(and what are the costs):
1. V2
2. Comptech

Which gives most hp/tq (if any):
1. V2
2. Comptech

And finally,

Which is the easiest to install:
1. V2
2. Comptech

= they should be about the same

Which costs less(and what are the costs):
1. V2 = $255ish
2. Comptech = $???

Which gives most hp/tq (if any):
1. V2
2. Comptech

And finally,

Which is the easiest to install:
1. V2
2. Comptech = the easiest to install

They both look good but personally I am a fan of the V2 and a proud owner

I was asking Emil about that cooling plate thing. Sorry, guess I should've quoted him.
