coilovers without spending 3 grand?

I will offer you this, resurch the spring weights offered. I know the Buddy Club Race spec do 10K front and rear. With the same weight spring front to rear and the natural tendency of the s2000, it will handle twards more over steer. You can counter this by running less damping in the rear and more up front. Most coilovers that I am aware of that most of us shop for do not have a seperate rebound and compression ajuster, so relize wile your ajusting less compression to dial in your handling at the limits, you are also reducing the amount of rebound damping which will either cause your car to bounce from being to under dampend or skip form overly so. There is always a comprimise with a single dial but found the damping on the Buddy Clubs to work well and sertanly better aimed at agressive driving valving then stock. I can't say for the others, being the same layout I'm sure they also have comprimises but am sure anything you decide on in the $1200-$1500 range will be an imporvment over stock, So do your resurch on the spring weights/cost and I think this will be your deturmining factor. If you like the car to lean toward over steer then go for a coilover that offers same spring rate front/rear and use the damping to talor your ride character. Hope this helps.

i heard the pss9's handle beter than the t1rs, less understeer or something. anyone have input on that. im stuck between pss9s and buddyclub
note: im not on oem re050's. im running 225/255 kuhmo ecsta mx's. the fronts are alot wider than the re050 so that will reduce understeer.
