I spent some time resurching this as well over the last year or so when i decided it was time to uprgade from my Eibach pro kit. I wanted to try and stay below $1500, I looked at some of the cheeper coilovers like the Megans for example, $800 and I just didn't feel they would last my abuse. I was looking for something with some racing resurch and development because I run my car hard but it is also daily driven so I wanted something that would last. I looked at the Cheeper Teins which are supose to be descent but at $1200 I felt they didn't offer much more then the Megans and actulay the megans looked better to me. I am so happy with my descision to get the Buddy Club (Race Spec). They really are stout with big over sized pistons for added cooling, which means better damping ajustabitly, longevity and consistancy durring race situations. They list for about $1700 but I found a company on Ebay advertising $1400, I called the company up rather then going through ebay, as I had some questions, after deciding to go with these they gave them to me for $1190 shipped to my door! Ive been runnig them for about 3 months now and am loving every minute. Not only did they give me the ride hight I wanted but they perform so much better then stock if you like a stiff presice feel with some added tire grip you cant go wrong for the money. I think anyone you talk to who has these will tell you how happy they are. Hope this helps

You get exactly what you pay for when it comes to shocks. That doesn't mean you need to spend 3 grand but it does mean that 3 grand buys you twice as much as 1500 but 1500 may be all you want or need. KWv3 for $1700-$1900 is a significant improvement over stock.

T1-R Bmax coilovers. very very good setup!
best coilovers that are not an external reservoir setup. huge 46mm piston which means more fluid displacement with less movement.

the other alternative is the kw v3 which is also an amazing setup!

If -1 drop is satisfactory to you for just getting rid of some wheel gap and you want a slightly stiffer more precise added feel then get the Eibach Pro kit, this is in my opinion the best spring kit for the s2000 without going to the next step with coilovers. I used it about 3 years on my car and it works very nice! The springs are about 20% stiffer and with the conservative but noticable drop you will not have any blown shock issues some accoiciate with lowering springs and sertanly no negative handling affects that some claim with a lesser RD & quality spring. You will notice a significant improvement in the pricision feel of your car after installing these. This may be all you need and at $500 - $600 which includes instalation then you cant go wrong.
