Default coilover worth it?

my car is a daily driver and i dont plan on making my car a track car. i will probably auto x a few times but not that much and possibly track once. i mainly want just a drop and to have as good or better performance. would coilovers be worth it or is springs good enough?

You want to use lowering springs with stock shocks without hurting the handling?

How much do you have budgeted?

Do you realize you will be bumped up a class in auto-x by changing the springs?

Well that's the thing. There aren't a whole lot of off-the shelf shocks for the S2000. The Konis are just under $600(then add the price of springs) so, a full coilover setup from Tein might be worth considering if you really want to keep at least as good as stock handling.

I ran kgmm racing springs for about 1.5 yrs.....they got ridiculous after awhile...I switched to coils and then I understood why some don't even bother w/ springs

So would Koni's with aftermarket springs be a good setup for daily driving? How would they compare to say Tein coilovers?
