One thing I find lacking in many of the new cars is an actual protective bumper. I've not been (yet), but someone bumping into these new plastic bumpers may not injure the car, but they leave scratches. Anyone remember the mini-bumpers on the Ford Cobras. The front was nothing more that a loop coming from each frame member, heavy steel, and chromed. It came out about 8 inches and up to the middle of the grill area and across to the other side. The rear was two T's. I'm thinking that may look good on the S and would give some actual protection. If I get a chance I'd like to Photoshop some this week. Any thoughts? nice thought but bad idea, if you want a exposed bumper buy a pickup? by putting extra grill guard would not only affect the proper operation of the airbags but also would upset the weight balance of the car. also with additional *bumpers* the way car was designed to crush in a event of auto accident maybe be affected. honda has spent millions and millions of dollars in RD for our safety and I don't think by adding couple of bars would do any good. oh and i think it'll end up looking like some kit car.

i think the "look" of the s2000 would be seriously altered with the addition of cobra style bumpers..
