Yea. thats exactly what the local honda dealer told me. The clutch master cylinder "mechanically" failed. Either way, the service manager covered it up under warranty for me. I recieved a new clutch, flywheel, master cylinder, pressure plate, etc...

9KRPMF20C,

Where did you have your car serviced? Did you like the service? Thanks.

I went to Buena Park honda. Its nearby and pretty big. The service manager was really cool, I think his name was Martin, hes the one who took care of me. The car came back in perfect mechanical condition, but there were swirl marks on the car. The carwash they gave me wasn't of good service though.

Staffordaz,

So are you saying you thought the clutch was slipping but you were actually spinning the tires? In my situation I could tell the clutch was slipping. It just feels different when it's the tires.

I've had this same problem since 2500 miles and Honda is replacing my clutch next week. The problem of slipping gets worse for me when my clutch temp goes up.

Sorry for the late follow-up. I took my S in to the service department this past Wednesday. They concluded (after talking with engineers at AHM...the service manager has connections and is very helpful) that the clutch/master cylinder fluid may have had some water/condensation in it. They concluded this since the 3 slips that I had noticed (2 being at decent acceleration and shifting between 1st and 2nd) all occurred in cold weather (below 40 degrees Fahrenheit).

So, they replaced the fluid (waranteed). I've yet to notice any problems, and it's a still blast to drive. Maybe I'll have to wait until next winter to see if that was the problem.

Thanx for the input, folks.
