I have a 04 (yes with a clutch delay valve).
I never launch my car from standing(many 4-2, 6-3 shifts), but I decided to launch for short distance last week. (it was damp night and engine was 1/3 hot). When I dumped the clutch at 5k, car moved slow and rpm went to redline so fast.
Witnesses told me they saw some smoke.. and it stinked too.
and I tried to find out if this was a delay valve problem, but I can't duplicate this.
Car launches fine now (with little sense of clutch delaying, not too much).
Is it possible to get slipping with bad launching? (but I dumped it).
I just can't think the delay valve as a cause because delay valve slipping can't be this bad.
help~
thankss

Chances are it's the delay.... My experience with it is that it's tempermental. Hence the reason it had me
It would kick in sometimes and be fine others. I would NOT TRY duplicating it cause your going to take miles off your clutch very quickly...
Just know that it's there and drive accordingly..
