Default Clutch Revisited

I am scheduled to take my S2000 in on Thursday for a replacement clutch (decel.
buzz problem). However, the part number the dealer was sent is -045 and not the -055 as specified in the new TSB. I am familiar with the 005 (original) and the 025 (first TSB) but where does the 045 fit into all of this? Thanks for a quick response.

55 is the 2nd gear grind.
54 is the decel buzz.

The numbers in my thread above are the last three numbers of the clutch part number. 005 was the original part number while 025 was the number specified for the first TSB dealing with the decel buzz problem. 055 is the one they now say will cure the problem. I am trying to figure out what clutch number 045 was designed to do. This is the one they sent to my dealer.

Don't be confused between the 055 part number (which is under the 054 TSB) and the 055 TSB...

JPit,

Your dealer didn't read the latest update to TSB 054 which specifies the part number for the new clutch disk and that part number ends with -055. There is a copy of this TSB on this board and it came out in late November if memory serves me correctly.

I would have the dealer order the latest part if I were having the clutch replaced.
Good luck,
Bob
