Clutch problems with the Dealer...help!!!
#1
I have an S2K with 5000 miles on it. The clutch started slipping at 6500rpm. I took it in and the dealer said it was'nt covered by the warranty. The clutch engaged about half way from the floor and was never that responsive. I do not know anyone else that I could compare the clutch with. Can anyone give me some advice or does your clutch engage close to the floor? I got ripped off and payed $38,000 you would think they would fix it for free. They want $1000!!!!

Call Honda Customer Service. I believe there is a TSB on the clutch. If you have one of the earlier S2K's, then they should replace the clutch. Unless you were doing silly things (0-60's with 7000RPM clutch dumps), no way should the clutch wear out that fast. How are your tires? If they have plenty of tread on them, point to that fact when talking to Honda.
